Agent-based computer
simulations are commanding a growing attention in Economics,
in particular for the design and exploration of theoretical
models; for policy evaluation, scenario analysis and
forecasting; for econometric estimation. The aim of
Wild was to gather researchers
interested in the application of this technology to the field
of labor and industry dynamics. Contributions have concerned
the following topics, and the related methodological issues:
-
Firm demography
-
Individual behaviour
in the labor market
-
Innovation and
entrepreneurship
-
Wage inequality and
poverty
-
Ageing population,
migration and demographic changes
-
Industrial districts,
local interaction and economic performance
-
Integration of real
and artificial data
-
Use of econometric
techniques on artificial data
